Brett Beldock, a former fashion designer has a crisp creative but off beat approach to design. Brett uses fabric, texture and color to define each project, producing a sophisticated innovative luxurious image in each room.
The firm does design-build projects specializing in renovation. They see each project through each phase of design. Beginning with the client’s wish list to drawings to demolition to construction and on to furnishings and sourcing artwork and accessories. The rooms are an eclectic mix which is timeless clean and elegant.
Brett works closely with each client to insure that their individual style is reflected in each home. The company’s roster of clients remains nameless. The work ranges from 20,000 square foot homes in Palm Beach and Naples Florida, to townhouses in Harlem, lofts in Tribecca and renovations on the lower east and upper side of Manhattan.
Most recently the company has developed a wonderful line of wallpaper now sold through Holland and Sherry, a rug line with Doris Leslie Blau as well as a line of furniture at Profiles in the Design Center at 200 Lexington in NYC. These home furnishing products can be used in transitional contemporary and even traditional spaces. All three: the wallpaper, the furniture, and the rugs are totally custom.
Brett Design Inc has participated in the Kips Bay Decorator Showcase, Design On A Dime for Housing Works, Holiday House for Cancer Research as well as several other Decorator Showcases. Their work has appeared in the NY Times, the NY Post, House Beautiful Interior design magazine, Forbes, Elle Décor, NY, Hamptons & Connecticut Cottages and Gardens along with many other shelter books and publications.
Aside from her projects, Brett has taught at NYU for 17 years and lectured on color at NYIT for many years. The company also does color forecasting for products developed by Samsung of Korea.
